Juli love painting still lifes in pastels, using arrangements she sets up in her studio. She
works on pastel board, which is made by gluing marble dust on card stock with rabbit skin glue. First, Juli sketches
her layout with hard pastels. Then, she uses soft pastels to block in large areas of color. For the final touches,
such as highlights, Juli uses the very soft pastels of Sennelier.

Juli loves to paint still lifes for commissions. She truly enjoys the process of creating a unique
work of art to beautify a client's home. Several of these pastels shown were created as commissions.

Juli accepts commissions, as she truly enjoys the process. Upon visiting the patron's home, she will design prototypes
to help her client in the selection of art. After Juli and her client reach a decision, she will immediately
begin creating a unique and original work of art to beautify their home.
